Game Recap

Skyline Falcons earned the 2017-18 Tri-Valley Conference Championship in a well earned battle against Holy Family in the last game of the regular season. The Falcons had a sting performance, especially in the second half after scoring only one goal very early in the game at about the two minute mark when Austin Gillies, once again, took the ball away from a defender creating his own opportunity on an open net executing his chance to put the Falcons on the board. The rest of the first half was a bit uneventful while the opponent made it difficult to possess the ball and handle it the Falcon style rolling it and at their feet consequently not having that many opportunities. Second half came around and once again the Falcons found the net early to put a second goal in thanks to a well elaborated play between Nathan Webb assisting David Quiroz who made the right run at the right time. Faolan Moore was assisted by Kevin Gutierrez to get the third goal in on another well secure play ending with a shot by Faolan from the top of the penalty area and in the back of he net. To put the forth and last goal of the night was the same player who started the scoring, Austin Gillies after he dribbled through two defenders, tried a shot, rebounded off of the goalie having a second chance to put it away and he did.
The remaining of the second half was more of the Falcons style dominating and doing what they have done well this season, which is play good consistent Soccer!
Huge thanks to our fans and family who were present at the game cheering and supporting our Skyline High School Men’s Soccer Family!
Congratulations Boys! The Coaching staff and the Skyline community is extremely proud of each and everyone of you!
