Skyline High School
Longmont High School
The Falcons, today, finally found the opponent’s net more than just once or twice after a performance that on paper was not much different from the previous ones, but the difference was the fact that the Falcons scored six goals total after numerous attempts as it similary happened in previous games. The first goal was scored early on the 3rd minute when Kevin Gutierrez assisted Austin Gillies who put one of the three goals he scored tonight. Austin scored the second goal on an assist from Luis Bustos. Shjon Andrews scored the third goal assisted by Nate Webb. The fourth goal was executed by Jose Medrano assisted by Cooper Welsh. The fifth goal was scored by Nate Webb assisted by Hector Rubi, and the six and last goal of the night was put away by Austin Gillies after a shot from David Quiroz that hit the cross bar went down, bounced, and Austin followed the rebound getting up in the air and heading the ball past the keeper making it a hat trick for him closing the night on a great note after a fantastic team performance working cohesively and supporting each other all over the field. A total of 27 shots were produced by the Falcons around the Trojans penalty area connecting a total of 18 of the shots on frame. The efforts and hard work paid off for the Falcons and are looking forward to a stronger more assertive goal opportunity execution for the remaining of the season. Growth and development is still on its way for the Falcons as they build up their level of playing through their hard work and their dedication.
Thank you, once again, Falcon Fans for your amazing support and encouragement!!!
