Skyline High School
Frederick High School
Lady Falcons add one more to their winning streak beating Frederick High at their home allowing them to secure the second conference game win of the season. It took a bit of extra time and effort and the Lady Falcons brought home another victory.
The team controlled a good portion of the first half despite an unusual lower level of intensity on the Falcons’ side. Kalen Niedling started the scoring when Brie Musser made a nice diagonal run offensively during an offensive transition, received the ball, turned the corner around to make a nice pass across finding Kalen ready to put the ball in the back of the net. Whitney Parkinson followed with the second goal assisted by Kalen on a nice combination that ended up with a nice shot across to the far post on the left side of the opponents goalie. Frederick managed to score two goals on Skyline tying the game causing it to go into double over time. After Skyline dominated pretty much the first over time half, their efforts paid off when at the 7th minute of the second half of over time Whitney put away the third goal off a pass from Lindrey Schendel during a corner kick by placing a beautiful upper 90 shot, which ended the game sending the falcons back home with a 7-1 record; best it has been in a long time!
Kenna Meier was the goalie in the first 40 minutes in the game with no saves needed and Grace Miller played the remaining 57 minutes accepting two goals in her net.
Way to bring another win home Lady Falcons! Keep up the great momentum and stay confident making all of us proud!!!
