Skyline Falcons Varsity Falls In Back-And-Forth Affair Against Windsor
Even though Skyline Falcons Varsity and Windsor both had their opportunities, it was Windsor that eventually prevailed 11-10 on Tuesday. The game was tied at ten with Windsor batting in the bottom of the sixth when Barke singled off of Austin Soriano, driving in one run.
Despite the loss, Skyline Falcons Varsity did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Windsor had 13 hits on the way to victory.
Skyline Falcons Varsity captured the lead in the first inning. Avery Riddoch drove in one when he tripled in the first inning.
Skyline Falcons Varsity scored five runs in the fourth inning. Skyline Falcons Varsity’s big inning was driven by a single by Alex Schernecke, a error, a single by Nate Higgins, and a single by Brayden Blick.
Watts earned the win for Windsor. He threw one inning, giving up zero runs, one hit, striking out one, and walking one. Austin Soriano took the loss for Skyline Falcons Varsity. He pitched one inning, giving up three runs, three hits, striking out one, and walking zero.
Jonah Chrisman started the game for Skyline Falcons Varsity. He pitched five innings, surrendering eight runs, ten hits, and striking out two. Montgomery started the game for Windsor. He threw three and a third innings, giving up eight runs, six hits, striking out one, and walking one.
James Canar, Clayton Eldred, and Higgins each collected multiple hits for Skyline Falcons Varsity. Riddoch went 1-for-4 at the plate as he led the team with three runs batted in.
